OM1 Fiber Optic Cables
OM1 Fiber Optic Cables come in a variety of configurations. OM1 fiber cable is made of 62.5/125 - the 62.5 microns is the actual core of the fiber optic while the 125 refers to the diameter of the outside of the fiber cable's cladding. Here you will find a full selection of multimode fiber in all the most common connection options such as LC, SC, ST, FC and MTRJ. Multimode duplex is essentially a set of two fiber strands more or less two simplex cables built side by side in what is called a zipcord. These MM Duplex jumpers use the two separate fibers to transmit data in both directions simultaneously. OM1 became a standard in the mid 1980's and while the industry has seen advances since it is still in wide use today. At Cables For Less we not only carry pre-made fiber optic zipcords of several lengths in a wide array of common configurations but we also have the ability to make custom OM1 fiber cables as well. |
