What is USB 3.0? Also known as USB 3 or SuperSpeed USB (Universal Serial Bus). USB 3.0 is the newest generation of the USB technology. With a USB 3.0 cable you can reach speeds 10 times faster than USB 2.0! A USB 3 cable is backwards compatible, which means it is designed to work with older versions of USB technology, however if the device is 1.1 or 2.0, it will only work at that speed of that device.
