SC UPC to SC APC Fiber Optic Cables

At Cables for Less, we carry a wide range of SC UPC to SC APC Singlemode fiber optic cable lengths. The SC/UPC single-mode portion of the cable is blue. It has a slight barely noticeable curve which helps the fiber jumper make contact first, that portion is polished without an angle. SC Connector is an acronym for Subscriber connector, Square connector or Standard connector. It has a simple push/pull motion for quick installation and removal. On the other end of the patch cord is the SC APC. The SC/APC end is green. APC stands for Angle Polished Connector. That portion of the SC connector is polished to an 8 to 9 degree angle that prevents back reflections that can impede the light reflection and effect the performance of the fiber optic patch cord.
